Our vision is to set the standard of Caribbean style, elegance, and comfort through exquisite, ethically made products.

Our Story

Established in 1999 and rebranded in 2006 by textile and fiber artist Ayissa Burnett, Ayissa Textile Designs draws inspiration from the landscapes of the Caribbean and its rich culture to produce a range of contemporary home and fashion accessories. Our product line includes home accessories like cushions, tablecloths, runners, placemats, coaster sets, fiber art, accessories such as scarves and bags, and lengths of fabric that can be transformed into functional or visual pieces of art.

Responsibly designed.

Our production process is holistic and sustainable, utilizing natural fibers that are dyed, woven, or manipulated into dynamic statement textiles before being molded into the finished product. In addition, we created a line of accessories made from fabric ends and low-impact indigenous materials like calabash and coconut fiber. We take pride in being socially responsible and were awarded the Green Business Certification by the Future Centre Trust in 2016.

Ethically crafted.

At Ayissa Textile Designs, we believe in celebrating the effortless beauty of the Caribbean while maintaining a sustainable approach to our entire production process. Each product we create is designed to connect its owner to the allure of the region, its rhythm, and its story. We are committed to promoting ethical production methods and sustainability practices and strive to create products that are both stylish and environmentally conscious.
